Welcome to The Wiz. By using our website or services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read carefully. 

1. Services Provided

The Wiz provides automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostic services. All services are performed by trained technicians using professional standards of care.

We may refuse service if requested work would compromise safety, violate law, or create unreasonable risk.

2. Estimates, Work Orders, and Authorizations

• No service will begin without a signed work order or written authorization from the customer.
  
  

• Work orders will include: a description of services, required parts, estimated labor, completion date, and payment terms.
  
  

• Estimates are based on information available at the time and may change if additional issues are discovered. The customer will be contacted for approval before any additional work is performed.
  
  

3. Deposits and Payment

• A deposit equal to the cost of required parts and materials is due before service begins.
  
  

• Customers may provide their own parts. In such cases, The Wiz is not responsible for quality, compatibility, or delays caused by those parts.
  
  

• Labor charges are due at completion of service unless prior arrangements are made.

If a payment is dishonored (returned check, invalid card, etc.), The Wiz reserves the right to retain possession of the vehicle until valid payment is made, and may charge a reasonable returned payment fee.

4. Records of Repairs

As required by Texas Occupations Code Chapter 2305, The Wiz will maintain repair records for each vehicle serviced. These records will include:

• Customer name and contact information
  
  

• Vehicle make, model, year, and VIN
  
  

• Description of work performed
  
  

• Parts supplied or installed (including whether they are new, used, rebuilt, or customer-supplied)
  
  

• Labor performed and charges
  
  

Records will be maintained for at least the minimum period required by law.

5. Warranties and Limitations

• Parts supplied by The Wiz may carry manufacturer or shop warranties. Warranty details will be provided in writing at the time of service.
  
  

• Customer-supplied parts are not covered by any warranty from The Wiz.
  
  

• Warranty coverage does not extend to pre-existing issues or unrelated failures.
  
  

• Except as prohibited by law, The Wiz is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  
  

Nothing in these Terms limits rights under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act (DTPA).

6. Vehicle Storage, Lien Rights, and Abandonment

• Under Texas Property Code Chapter 70, The Wiz holds a possessory lien on any vehicle repaired until all charges (labor, parts, storage, and applicable fees) are paid in full.
  
  

• Vehicles not picked up within [5] business days after service completion may be subject to reasonable daily storage fees.
  
  

• If a vehicle remains unpaid, The Wiz will provide notice to the owner and any recorded lienholders as required by law. After the statutory period, The Wiz may sell or dispose of the vehicle to recover unpaid charges, consistent with Texas law.
  
  

7. Website and Online Content

• Content on this website is for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute a binding quote, guarantee, or contract.
  
  

• Unauthorized use of this website, including scraping, duplication, or misuse of content, is prohibited.
  
  

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Texas law, The Wiz is not liable for damages arising from:

• Use of our website or reliance on online information
  
  

• Delays in completion of services due to parts availability, unforeseen repairs, or external factors
  
  

• Failures caused by customer-supplied parts
  
  

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, all other provisions remain enforceable.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Jurisdiction for disputes shall be in the appropriate court of San Jacinto County, Texas.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted here with a revised “Last Updated” date.
